Swapping Photos
If a morph does not look right or you uploaded the wrong photo, you can swap out individual photos without starting your project over.
When to swap a photo
Common reasons to swap a photo include:
- The morph result looks odd because of a low-quality image
- You accidentally uploaded the wrong photo for a student
- A parent has provided an updated or better photo
- The baby and adult photos were uploaded in the wrong slots
How to swap a photo
- Go to your project page from the Dashboard.
- Find the student whose photo you want to replace:
- For failed students, look in the "Needs Attention" section.
- For completed students, look in the "Individual Student Morphs" section.
- Click Swap Baby Photo or Swap Adult Photo, depending on which one needs replacing.
- Upload the new photo from your device.
- The student's status resets to Pending and a new morph job is created automatically.
The updated morph will be processed and your final video will be reassembled once it is complete.
Swapping baby and adult photos
If you accidentally uploaded the baby photo as the adult photo (or vice versa), SchoolMorph can handle this too. Use the swap option, and both photos switch slots at once. This is an atomic operation -- both photos are swapped simultaneously, so there is no risk of ending up with two baby photos or two adult photos.
Tips for better results
- Use a clear, front-facing photo where the face is easy to see.
- Make sure the photo is at least 100 x 100 pixels (most phone photos easily exceed this).
- Avoid photos with sunglasses, heavy shadows, or side profiles.
- Standard formats like JPEG and PNG work best.
After swapping, keep an eye on the progress page to confirm the new morph completes successfully.
