Morph Direction

1 min read

Choosing Morph Direction

By default, each student's morph plays from their baby photo to their Year 12 photo — showing growth over time. You can reverse this so the morph plays from Year 12 to baby, which some ceremonies use as a stylistic choice.

How to Set It

In the project settings (Step 4 of the setup wizard, or the settings panel on the project page):

  1. Find the Morph Direction setting.
  2. Choose one of two options:
    • Baby → Year 12 (default) — the morph starts with the baby photo and transitions to the current portrait.
    • Year 12 → Baby — the morph starts with the current portrait and transitions back to the baby photo.

Things to Know

  • This setting applies to all students in the project. You cannot reverse individual morphs.
  • The morph duration, gap, and all other settings work the same regardless of direction.
  • If you change the direction after generating, you will need to regenerate the video.
