Fixing Failed Morphs
Sometimes an individual student's morph may fail. The good news is that a single failure does not affect the rest of your project -- only the failed student needs attention.
Why morphs fail
The most common reasons a morph fails are:
- Face not detected -- The AI could not find a clear face in one of the photos.
- Photo too small -- The image resolution is too low to process.
- Corrupted file -- The photo file is damaged or unreadable.
- Unusual format -- The image is in a format the system cannot process.
Finding failed morphs
On your project page, any failed students appear in a highlighted "Needs Attention" section at the top. Each failed student shows:
- The error message explaining what went wrong
- Guidance on how to fix it
- Action buttons for resolving the issue
How to fix them
You have several options:
-
Retry -- Click the Retry button to try morphing again with the same photos. This is a good first step if the failure might have been a temporary processing issue.
-
Swap Photo -- Click Swap Baby Photo or Swap Adult Photo to replace the problematic image with a better one. Choose a clearer, front-facing photo and the morph will be re-queued automatically.
-
Retry All Failed -- If multiple students have failed, click Retry All Failed to reprocess them all at once instead of retrying one by one.
-
Delete the student -- If the student should be excluded from the video entirely, you can remove them from the project.
The rest of your video is safe
Failed morphs do not hold up your project. All successfully morphed students remain complete, and your final video will include everyone who passed. Once you fix the failed students, the video will be reassembled to include them.
