Name Cards

Name Cards

Name cards display each student's name on a brief slide before their morph plays. This helps the audience identify who is morphing during the ceremony.

Enabling Name Cards

In the project settings (Step 4 of the setup wizard):

  1. Toggle Name Cards on.
  2. Choose a name format:
    • First name — shows just the first name (e.g. "Alice")
    • Full name — shows first and last name (e.g. "Alice Smith")
    • Custom — lets you set custom text per student (e.g. "Alice — Best Dancer 2026")
  3. Set the duration (0.5–3 seconds, default 1.5 seconds).

Styling

Name cards use the same background and text colours as your title card by default. If you want different colours for name cards, you can customise them separately in the project settings.

Custom Text Per Student

If you choose the "Custom" name format, you can edit each student's name card text individually in the student review step. By default, it uses their full name.

Video Order

The final video plays in this order for each student:

  1. Name card (if enabled) — student's name on a styled card
  2. Morph clip — the baby-to-adult (or adult-to-baby) morph
  3. Gap (if set) — brief pause before the next student

Things to Know

  • Name cards appear before each student's morph, not during it.
  • Very long names (over 40 characters) are automatically shortened.
  • Name cards are generated during video processing — if you change settings, you need to regenerate.
