School Photo Preview and Replacement

School Photo Preview

When a school uploads Year 12 photographer photos and sends baby photo links to students, each student will see their school photo on the upload page. This helps students confirm they are uploading photos for the right person.

How It Works

1. The school uploads photographer photos using the "Upload school photos" option.
2. Students receive a link to upload their baby photo.
3. On the upload page, students see their school portrait displayed above the baby photo upload area.
4. Students upload their baby photo as normal.

Allowing Photo Replacement

By default, students can only view the school photo — they cannot change it. If you want students to be able to replace the school photo with their own:

1. Go to your project settings.
2. Enable "Allow students to replace school photo".
3. Students will now see an option: "Want to use a different current photo? Upload your own."
4. If a student uploads their own photo, the original school photo is preserved. You can revert to it from the tracking dashboard.

Things to Know

• The school photo is shown as a preview only — students cannot download it.
• If replacement is enabled and a student replaces their photo, you will see a "Replaced" indicator on the tracking dashboard.
• The original photographer photo is always kept. You can revert to it at any time before generating the video.
