Creating a Project
Generating Your Video
2 min read
Start the Generate Process
Once you have uploaded your photos, reviewed your pairs, and configured your settings, you are ready to create your morph video.
- In Step 4 of the wizard, click the "Generate Video" button.
- SchoolMorph will begin processing your project immediately.
What Happens Behind the Scenes
The generation process has two main phases:
Phase 1: Individual Morphs
SchoolMorph creates a morph job for each student pair. For every pair, the system:
- Detects faces in both the baby and current photos.
- Aligns facial landmarks (eyes, nose, mouth) between the two images.
- Generates a smooth, frame-by-frame transition from the baby photo to the current photo.
Each student's morph is processed independently, so multiple morphs can run at the same time.
Phase 2: Final Assembly
Once all individual morphs are complete, SchoolMorph assembles the final video by:
- Placing the title card at the beginning (if enabled).
- Concatenating each student's morph clip in your chosen order.
- Adding the gap pauses between students.
- Encoding the final video file.
How Long Does It Take?
Processing time depends on the number of students. As a rough guide, expect 30 to 60 seconds per student. A class of 30 students will typically take 15 to 30 minutes.
You Do Not Need to Stay on the Page
You can close the browser tab or navigate away at any time after clicking Generate. Processing continues on SchoolMorph's servers. You will receive an email notification when your video is ready.
To check progress at any time, navigate to your project page from the dashboard. A real-time progress tracker shows which morphs have completed and the overall status of your video.
